The 2023 Genesis G90 is MotorTrend’s 2023 Car of the Year and ranks No. 1 among the best Luxury Full-Size Sedans. It’s easy to see why. The G90 oozes luxury and has a stunning design with plenty of high-end features. High-end trim materials include crushed carbon fiber with etching on the doors. Drivers are treated to an upscale driving experience at every ergonomic touchpoint inside, including the elegant jeweled rotary gearshift and dial used to navigate the center screen. 

Ultra-luxe “extras” include air suspension that uses a camera to adjust and minimize impacts—before the car gets anywhere near a bump in the road ahead. Even the brake pedal is calibrated for the smoothest stops. Plus, a relaxing drive is practically guaranteed with its noise-cancellation technology that keeps the cabin quiet. 

A 3.5-liter V-6 B engine powers the G90, delivering 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. It has a fuel economy rating of 18/26 mpg for city/highway.

The 2023 Genesis GV70 is a high-ranking luxury compact SUV

The 2023 Genesis GV70, named one of the best small luxury cars, has earned the No. 2 spot on MotorTrend’s list of best Luxury Compact SUVs, making it a top-rated Genesis model to consider. It boasts an elegant design, inside and out, combined with exceptional driving dynamics—all at an excellent value for all the premium features it includes.

There are only minor design changes since the prior model year, which makes sense since this car’s chic style made headlines. Its new 19-inch wheels for all trims are now standard. Also standard is its center 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system in all trim options. Additionally, there’s a surround-view monitor, power sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and seats that heat or cool for ultimate comfort. 

The GV70’s suspension system makes the ride smooth and extremely comfortable on any road. Its noise-canceling technology keeps the cabin quiet, making the 15-speaker Lexicon audio system sound even better. Under the hood, the 2023 GV70 has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy comes in at 22/28 mpg for the city/highway. 

Despite all its high-end features, the Genesis GV70 is the most budget-friendly model in the lineup, with an MSRP that starts at $43,150 and rises to only $55,250.

The 2023 Genesis GV80 is a top-rated luxury midsize SUV

Another top-rated Genesis is the 2023 GV80, ranking at No. 3 in Luxury Midsize SUVs, according to MotorTrend. Ultra-luxe interiors and excellent safety features are two of its stand-out features. It also boasts a distinctive exterior and a posh cabin with a spacious layout. A 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display comes standard, and a newly designed center console controller is easy to use.  

Powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 300 horsepower and 311 torque, Its fuel efficiency clocks in at 22/32 mpg. Additionally, the GV80 has a ground clearance of 8.1 inches.

Although the GV80 didn’t score high on ride quality, buyers may be willing to trade that for its exceptional safety rating. It is one of the few Genesis models to earn a 2022 Top Safety Pick+ award from the IIHS. It also has a five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. 

Offering excellent features for its price, the Genesis GV80 hits dealers at an MSRP of $55,800 through $70,850.
