Subaru began production on the Crosstrek in 2012. The Crosstrek is a compact crossover that starts at just $22,245. According to Car and Driver, the Crosstrek is the fastest-selling new crossover this October.

The Crosstrek uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 182 horsepower. It gets 28 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway. The Crosstrek is the most affordable model on the list and still offers a decent amount of power and good fuel economy compared to more expensive new SUV models.
