If you’ve been holding your breath, wondering just how much the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N will cost and your wallet, then you’ll be pleased to know that pricing information for this year’s model is finally out. What you won’t be pleased to know, however, is that the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N is going to cost a tad bit more than last year’s model. Just how much more will it cost, you ask?

The 2021 Hyundai Veloster N is more expensive than previous model years

While the 2020 Hyundai Veloster N boasted a base price of $28,595, the 2021 model rings in at $32,250. If you’re after a Veloster N equipped with the available 8-Speed Wet Dual Cluth Transmission, then you can expect pricing to jump up to $33,750.

Now, don’t get angry about that higher price tag just yet. While the sudden price jump is enough to take pause over, there are a few reasons that the 2021 model is more expensive than it’s predecessor.

Unlike previous model years, the Performance Package now comes standard. Meaning, all 2021 models will come powered by a 275-hp 2.0-liter Turbo GDI 4-cylinder engine. All 2021 models also now come standard with performance-oriented features like a limited-slip differential and a valved exhaust system.

Is the higher price worth the spend?

This year, the Hyundai Veloster N doesn’t just come standard with the Performance Package. This year’s model also comes outfitted with new, lighter sports seats. Take a gander at the driver’s seat specifically, and you’ll see that it features integrated headrests, illuminated N badging, better lumbar support, and reinforced side bolsters.

The 2021 Hyundai Veloster was the recipient of some updated tech too. Standard on all models is a high-resolution 8-inch touchscreen display featuring navigation and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It also features Blue Link Connected Car Services so you can lock, unlock, and start your Veloster N from your mobile device.

Safety features have been improved as well. Unlike previous model years, the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N comes standard with Hyundai SmartSense. A slew of driver assistance features are included, including forward collision-avoidance assist, lane following assist, lane-keeping assist, driver attention warning, blind spot collision-avoidance warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.

And if that doesn’t convince you that the more expensive price tag is justified? Know that the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N also comes standard with complimentary maintenance. Take advantage of complimentary factory scheduled maintenance for 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first).

Take this sporty Hyundai out for a spin

When compared to other hot hatches, the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N still comes out on top price-wise. Though this year’s model is more expensive than year’s past, it’s still able to undercut competitors like the Honda Civic Type R when it comes to pricing.

In the end, if it’s a hatchback with a powerful engine that you’re after, you really can’t go wrong with the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N. It’s undoubtedly unique looking, it’s fast, and this year’s model comes with far more standard features than its predecessor did.
