Thieves use giant pythons as weapons to rob Tennessee truck stop
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Thieves are getting pretty creative with alternative ways to rob gas stations. A group of men was armed with pythons as they stole hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from a Tennessee truck stop.
Tennessee truck stop gets robbed by men with pythons
I’m not going to blame the cashiers at a Tennessee truck stop for being afraid of snakes. A group of men robbed Citgo Truck and Auto Plaza in Denmark, Tennessee while armed with large pythons.
Then men entered the store and whipped out their pet snakes. They waved them around and put them on the counter of the gas station. Their plan worked as employees were terrified.
Last year, a man identified as 26-year-old Reginald Cook had a five-foot snake wrapped around his neck when he demanded money from the cashier. He was charged with two counts of attempted aggravated robbery.
According to CDL Life, they were able to grab $400 worth of CBD oil and probably wanted more. However, the truck stop was crowded with witnesses. The men weren’t wearing masks and decided to cut the robbery short.
Two women in a getaway car pulled up to the front of the store, allowing the men and their pets to get away. Madison County police officers are reviewing footage from the surveillance cameras as they investigate the incident. They shared that the car involved was a grey four-door sedan with bungee cords on the trunk.
Police officers are urging people with any related information to call Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477.
