In fact, according to Consumer Reports, most model years struggled to earn an acceptable reliability rating. That was, until the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado. According to Consumer Reports, the 2020 Colorado earned itself a five out of five reliability rating. Consumer Reports wasn’t the only one to give the 2020 Colorado such a high reliability rating either. J.D. Power also gave it a ‘Great’ quality and reliability rating.

2019 Ford F-250

If the Chevy Colorado isn’t quite your style, consider the 2019 Ford F-250. This reliable used pickup earned itself a four out of five reliability rating from Consumer Reports. According to Consumer Reports’ data, 79% of F-250 owners would definitely purchase the 2019 model again. That’s not all this pickup has going for it, though. According to Consumer Reports, the 2019 Ford F-250 offers “oodles of power” and can tow up to 20,000 pounds.

2020 Ford Ranger

The 2020 Ford Ranger is another reliable used pickup on Consumer Reports’ list. The 2020 model earned a four out of five reliability rating, according to Consumer Reports. J.D. Power also gave it a ‘Great’ quality and reliability rating. There are, however, some things worth keeping in mind if you find this truck on your list. According to Consumer Reports, while the Ford Ranger is fuel-efficient, handling is clumsy, and its interior isn’t the most comfortable out there.

2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD

The 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD is plenty reliable too. Not only did it earn a four out of five owner satisfaction rating from Consumer Reports, but it also scored a four out of five reliability rating. For shoppers on the hunt for a reliable used pickup, those numbers are pretty impressive. Further, consider that this pickup can tow more than 35,000 pounds when properly equipped, and it’s hard to beat all that the GMC Sierra 2500HD has to offer.

2019 Honda Ridgeline

Perhaps you have your heart set on the Honda Ridgeline. If you do, Consumer Reports recommends opting for the 2019 model, which makes for a reliable used pickup. It earned a four out of five reliability rating from Consumer Reports, along with a five out of five owner satisfaction rating. According to Consumer Reports, 81% of Ridgeline owners would repurchase the 2019 model too.

The 2019 Ram 2500 is another reliable used pickup. It earned a five out of five reliability rating, along with a four out of five owner satisfaction rating. According to Consumer Reports, this used pickup is pretty enjoyable to drive too.
