2021 Kia Telluride

You’ve probably heard of the Kia Telluride. At this point, who hasn’t? It’s a three-row midsized SUV that’s recognized as one of the best in its category. It’s driven by a 291-hp V6 engine that comes teamed with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and according to Consumer Reports, it rides comfortably. And when it comes to reliability? It earned a five out of five predicted reliability score from Consumer Reports and a ‘Great’ quality and reliability rating from J.D. Power.

2021 Hyundai Palisade 

While the Hyundai Palisade shares a few components with the Kia Telluride, Consumer Reports says the Palisade isn’t quite as nimble as its Kia competition. But that’s no matter. If you’re on the hunt for a reliable midsized SUV, the 2021 Hyundai Palisade certainly delivers. According to Consumer Reports, the Palisade earned itself a four out of five predicted reliability rating. J.D. Power also gave it a ‘Great’ quality and reliability rating.

2021 Toyota Highlander

The 2021 Toyota Highlander is a reliable midsized SUV that’s also available as a hybrid. So, if you’re after an SUV that offers a ton of space and great fuel efficiency ratings, then the 2021 Toyota Highlander makes for a pretty good pick. Not to mention, Consumer Reports gave it a four out of five predicted reliability rating. As for J.D. Power? It gave the 2021 Toyota Highlander a ‘Great’ quality and reliability rating.

2021 Mazda CX-9

The Mazda CX-9 earned itself a four out of five predicted reliability rating from Consumer Reports. J.D. Power also gave it a ‘Great’ quality and reliability rating. Strong reliability ratings aren’t all that this midsized SUV has going for it, however. It’s fuel-efficient, offers plenty of interior space, and comes standard with a slew of sought after safety features, including forward collision warning and blindspot monitoring. 

2021 Ford Edge

Much like the Mazda CX-9, the 2021 Ford Edge comes standard with a wealth of safety features. According to Consumer Reports, the new Ford Edge also offers “agile handling, a steady ride, and a quiet interior that contributes to its premium feel.” Add in a four out of five predicted reliability rating from Consumer Reports, and the 2021 Ford Edge makes for a pretty reliable pick among the midsized SUV segment. 

2021 Lexus RX

If you’re looking for a reliable midsized SUV that’s a tad more luxurious, then we recommend taking a gander at the 2021 Lexus RX. It’s available with your choice of engine or as a hybrid. Regardless of which version you buy, however, Consumer Reports says “the RX’s ride comfort is plush.” The Lexus RX is also pretty reliable. Consumer Reports gave it a four out of five predicted reliability rating, while J.D. Power gave it a ‘Great’ quality and reliability rating.

And if the 2021 Lexus RX isn’t quite your style? Consider the 2021 Lexus GX. According to Consumer Reports, this Lexus SUV is “quiet and quick yet highly capable off-road, and it can tow a 6,500-pound load.” It also earned a five out of five predicted reliability rating from Consumer Reports.
