Forget everything that you know about the Toyota RAV4. The new RAV4 Prime is here to change the game as the most powerful RAV4 ever. This new model has transformed the RAV4 from a soccer mom ride to a sporty SUV that will turn heads as you whip by.

The 2021 RAV4 Prime is a Gamechanger

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime will be available soon this summer, and it’s 100% worth checking out. However, it will have quite a price leap from the nonelectric RAV4 model. The base model RAV4 starts around $25k, but the all-new electrified RAF4 starts around $38k.

But at least the electric plug-in hybrid model will generate fuel savings. It gets up to 94 MPG and can go up to 41 miles on the battery alone. You can seamlessly select between EV and hybrid modes to quickly adjust to wherever your adventure takes you.

Toyota RAV4 Prime Power

The 2021 RAV4 Prime is equipped with a 2.5-liter inline-four engine that connects to four electric motors for 302 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds, making it that fastest four-door option in Toyota’s line-up. It’s also incredibly fast for a ‘green’ SUV. Rivals can take up to 10 seconds to reach 60 mph.

To help you go further, the RAV4 Prime is equipped with electronic all-wheel-drive so you can kick into action at a moment’s notice. The AWD feature can be engaged as needed, saving you fuel and a faster ride when you don’t need it.

If you live somewhere where it snows a lot, be sure to add on the all-weather package for heated seats, a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, and a wiper de-icer along with other perks. This will keep you riding in style all winter long.

We aren’t sure about how much the RAV4 Prime will be able to tow yet, but the nonelectric version can tow up to 3,500 lb. Maybe the hybrid powertrain will have some extra power, but we will have to wait for more updates.

RAV4 Prime Features

The RAV4 Prime is luxurious and smart. Of course, for the higher price tag, you will get more comfort. Enjoy massive leather seats, paddle shifters, heated and ventilated seats, a large panoramic moonroof, and more.

The SE trim comes with an 8” infotainment center, and the XSE version has a 9” Audio Plus version. Both can connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both can connect to Alexa for hands-free commands as well. This feature, paired with the hands-free power liftgate, provides a lot of conveniences.

We’re excited to check out the heads-up-display that will show crucial information such as speed and navigation behind the steering wheel. This will allow drivers to keep their eyes on the road instead of looking over at the infotainment center.

Plus, the RAV4 Prime is loaded with features from Toyota Safety Sense. It includes pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection, dynamic cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assistance, road sign assist, and much more. We can’t wait for this hybrid to hit the streets so we can learn more about it.
