When Dodge first introduced the modern version of the Ram back in the ’90s, in a way, it revolutionized trucks. The style which the company still uses today, showed that a farm/work vehicle didn’t have to be blocky, but could actually be a lovely, streamlined design. It didn’t take long before other truck manufacturers started mirroring the look. Today, Ram continues to make trucks that never fail to turn heads while also being one of the more innovative manufacturers in the truck world. The most recent example of this is the Ram 1500 Rebel TRX which is the ultimate off-road Ram.

The Ram 1500 Rebel TRX proves that looks matter

Perhaps one of the most disappointing aspects of the current crop of off-road trucks is that the appearance doesn’t differ all that much from the trucks you see being used as daily commuters. The Ram 1500 Rebel TRX breaks that trend.

When you look at this vehicle, with its chiseled, hourglass body shape, statement-making front grille, heavy-duty tires, and impressive fenders, everyone who lays eyes on this vehicle knows that this is a truck that will see some extensive off-roading hours. This truck looks and feels like a beast, which is exactly what all off-road trucks should look like.

Perhaps most importantly, this looks like the type of truck all other trucks will yield to when they encounter it on the trails. Ram tweaked the fender flares, creating a totally unique look that makes the vehicle look a machine that will chew up countless off-road miles.

Adding additional inches of ground clearance to the 2019 model allows you to take on even more challenging trails than you could tackle while in a first-generation Ram 1500 Rebel TRX.

Your comfort is important

You shouldn’t have to sacrifice comfort for off-road fun and when you’re in the Ram 1500 Rebel TRX you don’t have to.

While suede seats might not be the kind of thing you’d typically expect in an off-road truck, once you take the vehicle across a few rough trails, you’ll appreciate how the suede clings to your pants, reducing the amount of slipping and sliding across the seats you experience.

Each passenger is encouraged to wear a six-point harness that reduces the amount of jostling you’ll experience while also keeping you safe in the event of an accident. The easy to grip steering wheel and wide paddle shifter allow you to easily maintain control while going down rough and steep trails. This increased sense of control and comfort gives you the confidence needed to tackle trails you wouldn’t dare look at twice if you were in a different vehicle.

The suspension Ram decided to use for the truck is a link coil rear suspension system, a suspension system that was originally designed for vehicles that were competing heavily on the desert racing circuit.

The new and improved 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX

The great thing about deciding to purchase a 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX is that you’re getting a second-generation vehicle, and second generations are usually an improvement over the first because the company has had a chance to identify the weak points and improve upon them. New fenders and higher clearance are just two of the changes Ram made to the Rebel TRX.

The company also outfitted the vehicle with a stylish new front fascia, improved the vehicle’s undercarriage protection, created a different front bumper for the vehicle, and tweaked the lighting. Each of these changes is designed to change the vehicle’s appearance or improve its overall performance.

While it’s still a few years off, in 2022 (or 2021 depending on who you ask) the Ram 1500 Rebel TRX will be equipped with a Hellcat engine!

The 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX’s are currently available, and now is a great time to test drive one and find out if this is the perfect off-road vehicle for you.
