The Titan’s higher price tag has to do with its performance capabilities and its luxury-focused interior. But the Titan’s higher-than-average, three–year depreciation rate can ultimately work in your favor. According to a recent iSeeCars.com study, the Titan depreciates at a 38.1 percent rate while the average three-year-old pickup depreciates at a 34.3 percent rate. About the used 2017 Nissan Titan

Nissan entirely redesigned the Titan for 2017. Experts like Consumer Reports commended the Titan for its potent engine options and smooth ride quality. Standard Titan models come with a 5.6-liter V8 engine that produces 390-horsepower. Titans also come with a seven-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive.

What’s so great about the Titan is that it’s gentle enough to be an everyday driver and highly capable. The crew cab body has a max towing capacity of 9,390 pounds, and the payload capacity is 1,620 pounds. If you’re an off-road enthusiast, you will want to shop for the PRO-4X trim level, which includes Bilstein off-road shocks and hill descent control.

For the most power, you’ll want to consider the beastly Titan XD. The Titan XD variant features a gas or diesel V8 Engine option. Naturally, the Titan XD is better for towing.

The Titan can seat up to six passengers depending on the configuration you pick. Titans come standard with a simple cloth interior and basic infotainment features, including a 5-inch display screen and Bluetooth. The Titan SL trim includes leather upholstery and heated seats. To get the most luxurious features, you’ll want to opt for the Platinum Reserve trim, which adds ventilated front seats. Unfortunately, popular features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto weren’t available on the 2017 Titans.

The 2017 Titan is considered as a good option to buy used mostly for its discounted price and performance capability. As far as safety and reliability are concerned, the Titan leaves much to be desired. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2017 Titan a four-star crash safety rating out of five stars. There aren’t many crash-avoidance features available on this model either.

You should also know that there are three NHTSA safety recalls on the 2017 Titan. The recalls were related to potential issues with the Titan’s seat belts, equipment, and electrical system. Before buying this model, make sure that you address these problems with your auto dealer.
