The Chrysler Town & Country is a minivan icon. Its heroic presence in the driveways across America has not, however, always been perfect. For this reason, it’s third on the list of most complained about minivans. Overall, the Chrysler Town & Country minivan has 1,852 complaints filed on CarComplaints.com.
The worst Chrysler Town & Country minivan model year is 2011. Additionally, the 2011 Town & Country is the one with the most-reported problem. Apparently there is an issue with the TIPM system failing and it can cost around $950 to fix it.
The Honda Odyssey
The Honda Odyssey van is one of the best and most popular minivans of all. Though some say it’s a bit pricey, others say you get a lot of bang for your buck if you buy one. It may be a good minivan but, due to its popularity and some issues some models have dealt with, it’s also second on this list of the most complained about minivans. The Honda Odyssey minivan has 2,750 complaints in total that are posted on the CarComplaints.com database.
The 2002 model year is posted as the worst for the Honda Odyssey van for transmission problems. To repair the issues it can cost around $3,430. However, the 2005 Odyssey actually has the most complaints out of any other model years. Additionally, the most-reported problem belongs to the 2002 model year. Unfortunately, a lot of vans from this model year experience transmission failure.
The Dodge Grand Caravan
The Dodge Grand Caravan is a minivan that is all but famous for hauling families and their things in a functional and practical fashion. However, it is also number one on the list of the most complained about minivans. In fact, the Dodge Grand Caravan minivan has 3,182 complaints on CarComplaints.com.
The worst model year overall is posted as 2011. Apparently the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan experiences electrical problems. The 2005 Caravan, however, is the model with the most complaints filed. The 2005 model year also claims the most-reported problem. This year had issues with the power door lock function not working, but it’s just a $90 fix. The Dodge Grand Caravan received the “Beware of the Clunker” stamp from CarComplaints.
