While the Toyota Corolla Hatchback didn’t necessarily land the highest marks, the Corolla, along with its liftback offerings, has one of the longest potential lifespans of any popular sedan. Specifically, iSeeCars says a used Corolla model has the potential to cover an average of 204,266 miles, just ahead of a Mazda6.
The 2021 Toyota Avalon gets disappointing scores from some reviewers
The 2021 Toyota Avalon earns a 7.8 out of 10.0 from Edmunds; it’s not exactly the most confidence-inspiring score. Moreover, the model has 5 NHTSA owner complaints of engine problems like vehicle speed control issues.
However, the Avalon earned an 85 out of 100 for predicted reliability from J.D. Power. That’s much more in keeping with what fans expect out of Toyota’s now-discontinued flagship sedan.

Fortunately, the 2021 RAV4 has very few owner complaints about problematic issues like vehicle speed control faults. Specifically, the RAV4 model’s most common issues are relatively innocuous interior accessory problems.
The 2021 Toyota Sienna has a few issues, but is it one of the least reliable Toyota models?
There’s no denying that the 2021 Toyota Sienna has a lot going for it. After all, J.D. Power gave the minivan model the No. 1 spot in the segment for 2021. Moreover, the Sienna had a potential lifespan of 239,607 miles in iSeeCars’ lifespan study, suggesting the model can go the distance.
Despite J.D. Power’s No. 1 award for the Sienna model, the minivan earned a low enough quality and reliability score to be considered one of the least reliable Toyota models of the year. Specifically, the 2021 Sienna received a 74 out of 100, 11 points less than the Avalon from the same period.
