The Kia Telluride Is Being Transformed Into A Pickup Truck
Kia is entering the midsize truck segment to compete against Ford and Chevy. That’s right. The Kia pickup truck is coming to compete with options such as the Ford Ranger and Chevy Colorado. Check out what we know so far.
The Kia Telluride Pickup Truck
We know, a Kia truck sounds a little insane. Weren’t we all making fun of Kia for being cheap and unreliable?

Well, we were doing that about 10 years ago, and since then, Kia has transformed into a luxury automaker with power and class.
Heck, the 2020 Kia Telluride, even won the best midsize SUV of the year and is equipped to do a little off-roading.
When We Will See This Truck
The Kia Pickup Truck is on track to make its debut in Australia in 2022 or 2023. So while that means we have a long wait before this truck comes out, it means that it will be even longer before the truck enters the U.S. market.
Also, a Hyundai Santa Cruz truck variant is expected to be released along the same timeline.
But We do know that this truck will not be a lifestyle option like the Honda Ridgeline or the Santa Fe concept. Meaning it will not be built on a single unibody frame.
We expect independent suspensions to outfit this new truck, but information is being highly kept under wraps for now.
Instead, after studying the American market for new ideas, Kia is going all in to create a pickup truck that can compete with other off-roading options like the Nissan Frontier or Toyota Tacoma.

The Kia Truck will be offered with single and double cab options as well as gasoline and diesel engines.
We hope to learn more about this new Kia Pickup Truck soon. However, Coronavirus (COVID-19) may cause production to become delayed.
In the meantime, we can celebrate the exceptional Kia Telluride SUV and study it for more clues about the upcoming truck variant.
The Kia Telluride
The Kia Telluride is a game-changing option with three rows of seating, so your whole family can go on off-roading trips together. For reference, it’s about the same size as the Honda Pilot.
It draws the eye with a bold design that’s backed up by power and capability. Its V6 engine pumps out 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Also, the Telluride can tow up to 5,000 lb.

The Telluride is available in all-wheel drive, giving you the ability to traverse through snow and other slippery conditions.
However, we would like to see some real four by four power. Maybe has the truck is released, the SUV will receive a 4×4 upgrade with it.
Its spacious interior is designed for luxury and family comfort with features such as a family intercom and enough USB ports to charge every device.

The Kia Telluride includes modern features such as 87 cubic feet of cargo space, a power liftgate, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and more.
We can’t wait to see how the new Kia Truck incorporates the luxury, tech, space, and comfort of the Telluride SUV.
