How does the Kia Telluride compare to the Kia Sorento?

When it comes to power, the Telluride’s engine is slightly bigger but offers about the same amount of power that the Sorento’s engine offers. The Sorento comes with an available 3.3-liter V6 engine that delivers 290 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. The Telluride comes equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 and delivers 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque.

Both of these engines are capable of towing up to 5,000 lbs and both come with an all-wheel drive system. Both of these SUVs also get around the same fuel economy.

For the most part, the Telluride and the Sorento are neck and neck. However, at first glance, you can tell that these two vehicles are very different. For starters, the exterior of the Sorento has a sleek and sporty style to it. And the Telluride has a little bit of a longer body slightly bulkier

Although the Telluride looks a bit bulkier, the larger size actually helps to create a more spacious interior. In total, the Telluride is 8 inches longer than the Sorento. Both of these SUVs come with three rows of seating.

However, the Telluride has three more inches of legroom in the back seats than the Sorento does. This means that the Telluride is able to comfortably fit full-grown adults in the backseat, whereas the Sorento can really only accommodate children.

The Telluride also takes the win when it comes to available cargo space. With the third-row seats in the upright position, the Telluride offers 21 cubic feet of cargo space.

With the rear seats folded down, the Telluride offers an impressive 87 cubic feet of space. The Sorento only offers 11.3 cubic feet space with the back seats up and 73 cubic feet with the seats folded down.

Which is the better SUV?

Both the Telluride and Sorento are impressive SUVs. Both come equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system that comes equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both SUVs also offer a wide range of safety features.

When trying to decide which vehicle would be best for you, you would need to ask yourself which is more important to you: interior space or price? The Telluride does come with a roomier interior, however, it is also slightly more expensive.

The new 2020 Telluride cost you around $31,690. And the Sorento a slightly smaller price tag. The 2020 Sorento cost around $26,690, which is only a $5,000 difference between the two prices.
