Not all trucks are created equal in the eyes of insurance adjustors. Parts costs, the city you live in, the safety features, safety ratings, and much more all go into what you pay for insurance. And, of course, trucks are a bit more expensive to insure than some cars because, simply, they’re heavier and do more damage if they get in a wreck. But some are less expensive to insure than others, like the 2022 Chevy Colorado, which is the cheapest truck to insure.

How much is truck insurance?

We may not love to pay that insurance bill for our truck every month. But, if you’ve ever had to make a large claim, it’s likely been worth it. Liability rates, collision rates and comprehensive rates vary from truck-to-truck for a number of reasons, and different carriers charge wildly different rates. But according to AutoInsurance.org, a third-party insurance information site, the Chevy Colorado is on average the cheapest truck to insure for full coverage. The Ford F-150 is the cheapest full-sized truck to insure.

Rangers can be ordered as work trucks, but the XLT and Lariat versions have nicely appointed interiors as well as several posh options packages that add premium audio, leather, and heated and powered seats.
