The newly redesigned Ford Bronco has been one of the most talked-about cars of the year. It only makes sense that it would receive just as much criticism as it does praise, even if at the end of the day, it’s an excellent SUV. The new Bronco has some resemblances to the Jeep Wrangler as well as the Toyota FJ Cruiser, which makes it the butt of a lot of jokes, and of course, memes. The internet can be a pretty creative place, and just like every good thing in life, the new Ford Bronco seems to be the latest target of many online roasts — here are the entertaining ones.
Ford Bronco Memes
The internet can be a fascinating place, but it can also be ruthless. Even though we love the new Ford Bronco, sometimes the memes and roasts are so creative it’s hard not to laugh a little bit. Bronco fans and owners might not be too thrilled about all of the innovative roasts, but all of the best cars in history have to stir up a little controversy, after all.
On the more offensive side of the roasts have been all of the OJ references in regards to the new Ford Bronco. For the lighter sense of humor, many combustion-engine fans have joked that the car will likely be a hybrid of completely electric SUV in no time — but that wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing. Then, of course, you can point out that the new Ford Bronco takes a pretty big step away from its heritage, and focuses more on luxury and comfort in a way that could deter people from the one thing we love the original Bronco for good off-roading fun.
The illegitimate child
The most common roast I have seen by far has been in the form of a meme. It shows the Toyota FJ Cruiser and Jeep Wrangler as sentient characters that maybe had a little bit too much to drink — as if vehicles drink alcohol, but that’s part of the joke, I guess. It then pans comic-strip style to a box that says “nine months later” with a picture of the new Ford Bronco.
If it isn’t apparent enough, the popular meme is insinuating that the Ford Bronco is the love child of the Toyota FJ Cruiser and Jeep Wrangler. The comparison is laughable because when you put all three of them next to each other, there are some striking similarities. Regardless of this, the new Ford Bronco is still a fantastic SUV, and we are pleased with the redesign and modern touches.
