Are you considering a gently-used 2020 crossover SUV? You’re in luck, we went back through MotorBiscuit’s 2020 vehicle reviews and have created a list of our five favorite crossover SUVs. We scoped out how much they are reselling for today and even looked into which ones might have reliability issues. So without any further ado, the top five:

  1. 2020 Kia Telluride
  2. 2020 Hyundai Palisade
  3. 2020 Subaru Outback
  4. 2020 Mazda CX-0
  5. 2020 Toyota Highlander

The Kia Telluride was new for 2020

The first model year of the three-row Kia Telluride was actually 2020. But we loved it back then and we think it makes a great used crossover SUV today. The 2020 Kia Telluride has innovative full-length greenhouse makes it easy to maneuver and gives every occupant excellent visibility. The Kia Telluride was worth $31,890 – $43,790 new, but is relisted for $35,875 on average, according to CarGurus

The 2020 Hyundai Palisade is another excellent third-row

The Hyundai Palisade is the Kia Telluride’s corporate cousin. Some reviewers ranked this three-row crossover SUV even higher than the Telluride. We applauded the SUV’s excellent backseat safety ratings but pointed out that the 2020 Hyundai Palisade has a lackluster infotainment system. You’ll be happy to hear it at least has Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Brand new, it would have set you back $31,975 – $46,825. Now it’s going for $37,461 on average.

The 2020 Subaru Outback is an AWD bargain

The Subaru Outback is a perennial favorite. The 2020 model was no slouch. Some reviewers felt it handled better than luxury SUVs. With an original MSRP of $26,645 – $39,695 we had to admit the Outback was a bargain. But we did warn that the most common owner-reported 2020 Subaru problem is leaking oil, so you’ll want to get a used Outback inspected before buying. Its average resale price is currently $30,013.

The 2020 Mazda CX-9 is affordable and quick

The 2020 Mazda CX-9 was affordable, and we think pretty darn good-looking. Used SUV shoppers will be happy to know we reported the 2020 Mazda CX-9 has Apple CarPlay/Android Auto on most trim levels (Touring, Grand Touring, and Signature). But it did not come on the 2020 CX-9 Sport, so you’ll want to double-check that the used model you’re considering was equipped with this feature. This crossover SUV originally commanded $33,890 – $46,215, today it’s relisting for $30,674 on average.

The 2020 Toyota Highlander holds its value

Because you could option the 2020 Toyota Highlander with an expensive hybrid powertrain, it has one of the bigger price ranges on this list. But traditional powertrain models were more reasonable. Back in 2020 we predicted the Toyota Highlander would prove reliable and hold its value. It originally sold for $34,600 – $50,200 and the average used one is listed for $37,855. Even though the hybrid version had added complexity, Toyota’s hybrids are proving to be among the company’s most reliable vehicles.
