The Ram 1500 TRX is the brand’s flagship supertruck. And with desert racing suspension and a Hellcat engine, the TRX is pretty doggone cool. But it’s not the only Ram with a cool factor. In fact, here are four other Ram trucks that some might call as cool–or even cooler–than the TRX.

Diesel Ram 1500 Rebel

Do you love diesel? Do you love off-roading? Wouldn’t it be cool if Ram made a diesel-powered TRX? Well now they do…kind of.

Not everyone can dish out $76,880 for the Ram 1500 TRX. So Ram offers off-road enthusiasts a more cost-effective option: the Ram Rebel. It features the skidplates and the body style of the TRX. But the 4×4 version starts at just $53,895. Best of all, you can order the Rebel with a series of engines including the turbocharged EcoDiesel V6.

Ram 1500 G/T

Maybe you want a fast truck, but off-road racing isn’t your thing. Ram’s got you covered: The Ram 1500 G/T is a mean, lean, street-racing machine.

The G/T is actually a package available on the Ram 1500 Laramie or the Ram 1500 Rebel. Opt for a Laramie G/T and you get a cold air intake, Ram’s Performance Pages software, a center column shift lever straight out of the TRX, and low-profile tires.

Ram 2500 Power Wagon

Is the in-your-face Hellcat-powered TRX too brash for your style? The Ram 2500 Power Wagon represents off-road capability, confidence, and tradition.

The 1946 Dodge Power Wagon leveraged technology developed for World War II to bring 4WD to civilians. It was the first factory-built 4×4 truck! Ram trucks is still honoring its legacy with one of the most capable off-roaders around. The latest Power Wagon has some important bits of kit the TRX does not, including a locking front differential and a winch. It might not be as quick, but is a lot more capable.

Cummins-Powered Ram 3500

TRX fans love bragging about the truck’s 700+ horsepower. But most motorheads will tell you torque is king: the TRX’s 650 lb-ft of twist is dwarfed by this diesel Ram’s 1,075 lb-ft.

Cummins inline six-cylinder turbocharged diesel made its truck debut in the 1989 Dodge Ram. Cummins and Ram have been a legendary combination ever since. The latest high-output tune of the 6.7-liter Cummins bumps the Ram 3500’s towing capacity to a best-in-class 37,090 pounds: it could tow five TRXs. The Ram 3500 optioned with a Mega Crew Cab and dual rear wheels is 79.4 inches wide, over 20 feet long, and sure to make you king of the road.

Here’s what you get when you upgrade from a light duty to a heavy duty Dodge Ram.
