Is the 2022 Infiniti QX55 A good crossover?

Yes, the 2022 Infiniti QX55 is a great crossover option. It begins at about $46,500 and includes tons of value with its price. For example, all-wheel drive comes standard. The design is based on the brand’s mid-size FX model that launched in 2003, but it rides on the same platform as the compact QX50 SUV.

The QX55 is a brand new nameplate for the Infiniti lineup. While it shares the same interior, powertrain, and suspension as the QX50, it has a much bolder exterior design. The QX55 is built to take on rivals such as the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.

How does the Infiniti QX55 perform?

The 2022 Infiniti QX55 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder VC-Turbo engine with 268 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. According to Car and Driver, this is the same powertrain that’s found in the QX50.

During their testing, they found that the Infiniti QX50 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.4 seconds. So, it’s safe to expect that the QX55 will also have a peppy acceleration.

The powertrain is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The QX55 also has a front-wheel-drive layout but has some tuning improvements.

So far, critics are discovering that the QX55 has a smooth ride, lively acceleration thanks to the turbo power, and a quiet cabin. Be prepared for this sporty ride because it goes pretty quickly off the line for a sporty performance.

The 20-inch alloy wheels provide a nice ride height and don’t cause a bumpy ride. The standard driving mode feels like it sets you up for a long road trip, while the eco mode is a little stingy. Also, the sport mode enhances the acceleration.

You can adjust the steering setting to Dynamic+ to firm things up. This provides extra grip around curves for more confidence. Also, the nimble turning radius makes this crossover easy to maneuver.

How are the Infiniti QX55 features?

The 2022 Infiniti QX55 has a lavish interior. Even the base model has faux-leather upholstery, but genuine leather and semi-aniline leather are optional. The black-colored open-pore wood trim is a unique choice as rivals are obsessed with carbo-fiber.

The QX55 has a dual-screen infotainment setup. The top screen provides navigation, and the lower screen provides radio, media, and vehicle settings. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard.

Laminated glass, LED headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, and active noise cancellation, and a power liftgate come standard. You can add a head-up display, and ProPilot assist semi-autonomous driving mode.

Standard safety features include forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. You can add adaptive cruise control, and a comprehensive warranty package is standard.
