When it comes to luxury cars, many customers nowadays are looking at how powerful or sporty that luxury car is. Porsche has always been known for making sporty and high-quality cars, but that’s not what sets the 2021 Porsche Boxster apart. Here’s a look inside the 2021 Porsche Boxster’s impressive interior that allowed it to really stand out.

A look inside the 2021 Porsche Boxster

Like U.S. News wrote, the 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster was one of the few luxury cars that’s in the market that has a comfortable and luxurious interior. U.S. News said that the 2021 Porsche Boxster has “a simple, elegant cabin” that remembers the small details that all Porsche lovers would want from their Porsche.

The 2021 Boxster only has one touchscreen available for its infotainment system, and it’s a 7-inch touchscreen display. While many other luxury cars will have bigger screens or more options, the standard 7-inch touchscreen display is more than enough for a car of its size. Additionally, as U.S. News wrote, the 2021 Boxster also comes standard with an eight-speaker stereo system, satellite radio, as well as a dual-zone automatic climate control system.

Amenities aside, however, the best part about the 2021 Boxster’s interior is its design. U.S. News said that Porsche used a lot of high-end materials, including leather for the seats. Furthermore, while the infotainment options are sparse, U.S. News also said that Porsche designed it so that its layout and controls are “intuitive.”

The options available for the 2021 Porsche Boxster

With its base $60,000 price tag, Porsche may not seem to be offering much in terms of the Boxster’s interior, but much of the car’s value comes from how it performs. The 2021 Boxster comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that got 300 hp, and while that’s not especially impressive, it gave the Boxster more than enough power.

However, Porsche offered plenty of engine options for the 2021 Boxster, and they include a more powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two even more powerful V6s. The most powerful engine option for the 2021 Boxster is a 4.0-liter V6 that gets over 400 hp, but, like U.S. News said, all of these engines are “capable.”

Engines aside, while the standard 2021 Boxster has a simple but effective interior, customers can also choose to upgrade this aspect of the Boxster as well. For example, U.S. News said that customers can add even more leather upholstery to the Boxster’s interior. Additionally, Porsche has plenty of seating options for the Boxster, and they range from 14-way power-adjustable seats all the way to carbon-fiber racing seats.

Other available options on the 2021 Porsche Boxster

On top of that, while the 2021 Porsche Boxster only has a 7-inch touchscreen display, Porsche added other interior upgrade options. For example, customers can get a 10- or 12-speaker premium stereo system, convenience features such as proximity keyless entry and a navigational system, as well as smart safety features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, and a blind spot monitoring system.

That said, these options can be costly, and the most expensive trim of the 2021 Boxster is the Roadster trim, and it starts at almost $100,000. However, there are, technically speaking, other Roadster trims, and they do cost less, with the T Roadster starting at just over $70,000, according to U.S. News.

Regardless of the trims or the options, the Porsche Boxster is still a small, sporty, luxury convertible. It can only seat two people, but it can definitely seat them comfortably. Furthermore, there is next to no cargo space, but that’s to be expected from a car of its size.
