The Mercedes-Benz E-class has been the manufacturer’s most popular, best selling models for several years, and the 2021 year will have all new features with a lot more to offer.

Updates

The new E-class is updated inside and out. Complete with new headlights, the front end received a much-needed facelift. A new grille and front bumper give the car a more modern and sporty appearance. New taillights keep the redesign wrapped around from the front to the back.

Mercedes-Benz also claims that the new interior of the E-class will be the most comfortable interior yet. Like previous years, the seats and dash will be made with high-quality materials. There are also new colors and materials available for this model year.

All of the sedan models are dressed in the company’s AMG body clad for an even sportier and more aggressive look. The exception is the all-terrain model that more closely resembles the lines SUV models.

Speaking of the all-terrain model, it looks like a cross over between a station wagon and a standard SUV, and, as you might expect from the name, can even go off road. It has a higher ride height to allow for better ground clearance should you find yourself wanting to take your high-end Benz down a rocky, muddy side-road, and while chances are that you won’t, it’s still nice to know that you can.

E-class tech

The new E-class is decked out with an impressive amount of safety features and technology, starting with the steering wheel. Mercedes-Benz has redesigned its steering wheel to force drivers to keep their hands on the wheel with its touch-sensitive steering wheel zones.

Like you would expect, the E-class offers blind-spot monitoring and assistance to help ensure the safety of the driver and passenger by eliminating one of the biggest traffic hazards. The upgrade to this system is that the blindspot monitoring now works when the car is stopped and the driver or passenger is exiting the car, lowering your chance of accidentally opening your door and hitting a passing car, bicyclist, or pedestrian.

Mercedes also equipped these cars with a bird-eye view camera that maximizes parking assistance. With this, the car is able to park and unpark with very little response from the driver, which is beneficial for regular parking as well as parallel parking.

Along with these features, we will see assistance with braking in traffic for the front-end collision warning that pairs with intuitive cruise control to monitor the speed of traffic and adjust the set speed accordingly.

The price for these updates and high-tech features and creature comforts will reportedly start at around $60,000 and continue upward with the choice of different models, specs, and features, but the cars will not go on sale until later this year.

The new 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-class has more style and features than ever before, giving it the potential to be the best model year yet. What could make it even better? Perhaps a plug-in hybrid version? Well, it looks like we are getting that, too.
