The 2021 Kia Telluride is the best family SUV 

According to PR Newswire, the 2021 Kia Telluride ranks as the best three-row SUV for families. It also took home this award last year. The award was provided by U.S. News, which awards ranks based on information and data gathered from respected automotive critics and data from third-party sources.

The vehicles are rated based on various crucial categories such as performance, interior, comfort, safety, reliability, fuel economy, cargo, and more. Each vehicle received a score in each area with a formula that’s weighted depending on the vehicle’s class to generate a score between 0 and 10. 

For the best families SUVs, the contenders were also rated on family-friendly tech features such as wireless internet, teen driver controls, automatic braking, surround-view camera systems, and more. Each of which the Telluride has to help it dominate the competition.

What makes the Kia Telluride good for families? 

You can get started in the 2021 Kia Telluride for about $32,190. This price feels a little steep, but it’s competitive for its class. For example, the 2021 Honda Pilot begins at about $32,500. Also, these prices are listed before dealership markups, and destination fees have been added. 

According to Car and Driver, the Kia Telluride provides tons of value for its price. It comes with a standard 3.8-liter V6 engine that pumps out 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque and can tow up to 5,000 lb when properly equipped.

The Telluride is also pretty capable if needed. Each model can be equipped with all-wheel drive to handle snow and other conditions safely. Plus, it has an eight-inch ground clearance for going on light trails. 

Plus, the Telluride has an upscale interior with quality materials for a luxurious and comfortable feel. There are optional captain’s chairs for the second row with up to 21.0 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row and up to 87.0 cubic feet total. Best of all, each row has enough space for passengers to comfortably stretch out. 

Kia Telluride features 

The 2021 Kia Telluride comes with a standard eight-inch infotainment system. It can be upgraded to a 10.25-inch touchscreen. It can connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless phone charging is also available. 

There is a one-touch power sliding button and power-folding option for the second row, providing easy access to the third row. The hands-free liftgate helps make loading cargo more convenient too.

With high trim levels, you gain access to Driver Talk and Quiet Mode, which allow the driver and passenger to speak through the speakers. Quiet mode allows the driver to mute the audio for rear-seat passengers. Your kids will find plenty of USB ports all throughout the cabin to charge their favorite devices during trips. 

The Kia Telluride comes with plenty of standard safety features, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, line-keeping assistance, and blind-spot warning.
