The 2021 Kia Telluride is still the best, and it isn’t even close

There’s no denying that the 2021 Kia Telluride holds all the aces. According to Consumer Reports, this year’s model earned itself a 97 overall score, which is nothing to scoff at. Why? Because the Kia Telluride managed to outrank every car that Consumer Reports scored. It wasn’t even close either. The second highest-ranked 2021 model is the 2021 Subaru Forester, which earned an 89 overall score, according to Consumer Reports

When it comes to breaking down the 2021 Kia Telluride’s high score, you’ll find that it earned near-perfect scores in almost every category. Not only did it earn a five out of five predicted reliability rating, but it also earned a five out of five predicted owner satisfaction rating. The only thing holding the Telluride back from that perfect score? It’s not the most agile SUV out there, and its third-row definitely isn’t the most comfortable.

High marks aren’t the only thing the 2021 Kia Telluride has going for it

Consumer Reports isn’t the only one to have recognized the Kia Telluride for being a near-perfect SUV. The 2021 model has already scored a long list of awards. Most recently, Kelley Blue Book tapped the Telluride as the ‘Best Three-Row Midsize SUV.’ This year’s model was also included in Car and Driver’s 10Best list for 2021, marking the second year in a row that the Kia Telluride has earned a spot among Car and Driver’s esteemed list of vehicles.

But if you’re not impressed by high scores and a long list of awards? That’s alright. The 2021 Kia Telluride has plenty more going for it. Driven by a 291-hp V6 engine that’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, Car and Driver reports that the Telluride offers precise steering and a firm ride. Its interior is something to behold too. Car and Driver says its interior is “undeniably upscale and comfortable,” which isn’t wrong at all. In fact, when you opt for the Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition, it’s practically dripping in luxury amenities.
