If you’re checking out a list of the best sedans on the market, the 2020 Honda Insight probably didn’t make it. Regardless of the lack of enthusiasm surrounding the car, it is still a surprisingly good option. They are affordable enough to be accessible to the general consumer market, without making too many sacrifices. In fact, there are plenty of reasons why you should consider a Honda Insight, and its price is just the start.

A reliable option

Many people love Honda for the brand’s history of reliability, and you can be confident that your car will really go the distance. If you want to buy a new Honda, but you don’t want to settle for the obvious choices like the Civic or Accord, the Insight might just be different enough to pique your interest. The sleek design makes the car stand out, and the modern features from design to safety tech make the vehicle a great option if you’re looking for something on a budget.

The Honda Insight is fuel-efficient

Whether you drive a lot or just hate wasting money at the gas pump, having a fuel efficient car can be pretty significant. Fuel economy is one of the best things that the Honda Insight truly nailed. With as much as 44mpg in the city and 62mpg on the highway in Consumer Reports‘ testing, you can expect an overall performance of around 54mpg — not bad for a vehicle that you can buy brand new for as low as $23,000.

As you could imagine, the Honda Insight doesn’t offer the best performance around, but after all, it wasn’t designed to be a sports car. Consumer Reports boasted about the car’s drive quality. The steering is responsive, and the suspension offers a comfortable ride, skillfully absorbing bumps and imperfections in the road.

An attractive sedan

The 2020 Honda Insight might not be anything close to the new Lamborghinis on the market, but it is still a pretty sharp looking car. The front end is aggressively styled, with modern LED headlights and sporty day running lights. The sloping roofline gives the car a smoother, higher-end appearance, ditching the older, more traditional boxy styling of many other sedans.

There are several trim options that give you the choice from a more modest style to even more aggressive. No matter what you pick, you can expect to get even the highest trim level for under $30,000 which is very reasonable for a brand new vehicle. It’s a cool choice if you want something that is fuel-efficient but jumped on the bandwagon of people who hate the Toyota Prius.

For such a low price, the Honda Insight is already a great option, and add in the great fuel economy and you can count on saving money on gas, too. It may not be as luxurious as some of the higher model sedans, but for the cost, it still has a lot to offer.
