We spend a good portion of time in our cars. Whether it’s our daily commute or getting stuck in traffic, we want to get the most out of our vehicles. Cars usually come with a hefty price tag, so you want to know that you’re getting everything that you want without compromising more than you feel comfortable. While we’ve gotten used to the famous luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz and Audi, there is one company that’s stepping up to the plate, and they are offering just as much luxury without the budget-breaking price. The Genesis line up has several sedan options varying in features and style, but the most competitive is the Genesis G80, and it might be a better deal than the more popular BMW 5-Series.

The Genesis G80 is a luxury sedan

The Genesis G80 is a reasonably priced option if you’re looking for a luxury sedan. With a starting price of $42,550, it is priced well under the competition for the more popular Audi and BMW cars. Its 3.8L V6 engine offers enough get-up-and-go to provide a sporty and enjoyable driving experience, maybe even enough so that you forget you’re driving a full-size sedan, but that isn’t the only trick up its sleeve.

The front fascia of the G80 is strikingly beautiful, mixing aggressive components with larger headlights and grille. The smooth body lines give the car a modern appearance, and the large alloy wheels highlight the side of the vehicle. The interior of the G80 has a more traditional style of luxury sedans. Soft-touch leather combined with touches of wood and brushed aluminum gives the car a luxurious, comfortable cabin that feels just as good as it looks.

Standing about the competition

The Genesis G80 proves that you don’t have to sacrifice the luxury and comfort you are looking for when buying an affordable vehicle. While the higher trim levels and the addition of options and features can drive the price up, it is less expensive than other luxury brands in several ways.

The ride quality is another area that separates luxury sedans from your more standard commuter options. The suspension is well dampened to provide a smooth ride, and the interior is spacious enough that even back seat passengers won’t feel claustrophobic. It gets bonus points for its standard safety features and loses a little bit of love for its less-than-stellar fuel economy — not that the competition has a better fuel economy anyways.

While the Genesis G80 may not bear the popular Audi or BMW badges, it’s just as wonderful of a luxury sedan. Even better is it comes with an affordable price tag without sacrificing comfort, ride quality, or features. Another cost many consumers forget is maintenance, and the Genesis has significantly lower maintenance and repair costs than many other luxury brands, making it not only a more affordable option off the lot, but also down the road.
