The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro is a classic American muscle car in its purest forms. Adapting and changing over the generations, the latest model year is the most aggressively-styled version yet. It is affordable, and it is well-loved, but like any popular car, the 2020 Chevy Camaro has received more than a few harsh critiques. After all, it’s pretty hard to hate on such a well-loved car, but just like any other sports car, there are some downfalls.

The best Camaro yet

The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro is debatably the best model year yet. While we will always love the classics, the original models that made this car what it is today, the newest model year has everything you could want in a sports car. There is enough cabin space for it to be surprisingly practical, and plenty of safety technology and creature comforts to make this a relatively responsible daily driver. It’s aggressive-styled, it’s fast, and it’s cool, so what is there not to love?

Not the highest rated car

If you scroll on over to the Consumer Reports website, you will find that the 2020 Chevy Camaro has a pretty low score compared to other sports cars in its class. Sitting unhappily in the low 50s for an overall score, you might be surprised by some of the criticisms this American muscle car has received. Even more surprising is that owners seem to agree and support a lot of the claims that the team has made.

Problems with the Chevrolet Camaro

The biggest complaints about the car aren’t all that surprising. Visibility in the 2020 Camaro is just as bad as it has been in previous model years, but there isn’t much that can be changed to fix that. Lucky for us, Chevrolet has added additional safety features such as a backup camera to help resolve some of these visibility issues. Then, of course, as you’d expect from almost any sports car, there are plenty of complaints that the driver and passenger seat are a little cramped.

While none of these complaints are shocking, there isn’t much that can be done to change them. As a sports car, the cabin probably can’t get any more spacious, and Chevrolet’s use of new camera technology will continue to improve visibility problems. Even with these complaints, the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro is still an incredibly designed car that you’ll love from the very first test drive.
