Texas traffic stop led to 5 arrests after police officers found meth and 34 grams of heroin
Police officers never know what they might find during a traffic stop. However, these routine interactions don’t usually lead to multiple arrests and the confiscation of large volumes of drugs. However, this happened recently in Texas, and now five people are behind bars and facing serious charges after being arrested by the police.
This was a pretty extensive traffic stop
According to KSAT 12 News, police officers in San Antonio, Texas, recently tried to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle. Later, they learned that Angelina Alvarado, 23, was the driver. Sadly, she refused to stop and ended up leading the police officers on a chase. The report says the chase lasted about five blocks before the woman crashed into a fence.
Of course, things didn’t end after the attempted traffic stop and subsequent crash. Police officers say that another person, Angelina Alvarado, 22, got out of the vehicle and tried to get rid of a blue backpack. After searching the backpack, they learned it contained 10 ounces of meth.
This isn’t where the story ends, as police officers later made another traffic stop. This time, the vehicle in question was associated with the two people they had just arrested. The driver, Hernan Castillo, 40, had warrants for failure to identify, driving while intoxicated, and possession of a controlled substance. This led to the search of a home, which uncovered 34 grams of heroin, and the arrests of Juan Ortiz and Joyce Guerra.
In total, the police officers found and seized three pounds of meth and 34 grams of heroin. Everyone involved is facing serious charges.
