Are you ready to hear the new Ram 1500 TRX roar? Well, the V8 engine could delight your ears soon as Stellantis has a massive reveal planned for June 8, 2025. Ram trucks have been dropping teasers about the return of HEMI power.
Teasers suggest that the Ram 1500 TRX with HEMI power is almost here
Stellantis has something planned for June 8th, and critics think they are about to get happily slapped by a new Ram 1500 TRX model with V8 HEMI power. But to clarify, this is just a rumor. I have no idea what’s really on the way.
Perhaps Ram will give me a heads-up soon. But in the meantime, we can obsess over clues together. A video titled “Fired up the engines – Big things are on the horizon” starts with Ram CEO Tim Kuniski at a table.
He’s chatting with YouTuber, Heavy D when a man in full fighter pilot gear enters the room, carrying a helmet. He grabs a cookie, compliments Tim’s jacket, and leaves.
Ram has had a project known as “F-15 Pilot”, and F15 is the codename for the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. According to Mopar Insiders, it references the F-15 Eagle fighter jet.
The Ford F-150 Raptor is also named for the velociraptor, a bird of prey. It also refers to the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. Both trucks are named after dinosaurs with names that relate to fighter jets.
Through independent sleuthing, I did come across rumors that suggested the TRX will have an improved HEMI engine that’s more efficient. But I wonder if it will have multiple powertrain options. The teaser says fire up your engines, not engine.
