esperante
The Panoz Esperante is a sports car convertible and roadster model produced and sold by the American automaker Panoz. Built as both a race car and a street-legal road car, the Esperante excels in both speed and style.
The first Panoz Esperante baseline GT model was introduced in 2000 and was followed by many additional variants and special editions, such as the Spyder, Spyder GT, and GTS. Most notable, though, is the Panoz Esperante GTLM race car that took part in over 40 competitions.
The first generation of the Panoz Esperante ran from 2000 to 2007. While there have been rumors of a revived Esperante over the years, it has largely been succeeded by the Panoz Avezzano grand tourer coupe that premiered in 2017. During the Esperante’s production, competitors included the Jaguar XKR and the Porsche 911, among other sports and race car variants.
