The Cadillac Escalade is a full-size luxury SUV model produced and sold by the Cadillac luxury vehicle division of General Motors (GM). The largest and most expensive model currently offered by Cadillac, the Escalade is sized and priced above the Cadillac XT6 midsize luxury SUV and the upcoming Cadillac Lyriq electric luxury SUV.

The Cadillac Escalade was primarily first developed to compete with the Lincoln Navigator from the Ford Motor Company. Essentially a rebadged GMC Yukon Denali model, the first generation of the Escalade was rushed into production in 1998.

Currently, the Cadillac Escalade is in its fifth generation and is wildly popular within the automotive market and pop culture. The success of the Escalade nameplate even spawned the two-generation run of the Cadillac Escalade EXT: a truck version of the luxury SUV.

In addition to the previously mentioned Lincoln Navigator, other competitors of the Escalade in the full-size luxury SUV class include the Land Rover Range Rover, the Lexus LX, the Mercedes-Benz GLS, and the upcoming and reimagined Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
