The Nissan Kicks is a subcompact SUV model produced and sold by the Nissan Motor Corporation. The Kicks was created as a replacement for the Nissan Juke, after the latter’s harsh reception in the American automotive market. Compared to the Juke, the Kicks was designed to be more subtle while still a fresh, fun, and funky take aimed toward a younger generation of drivers.
Introduced to American drivers at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Nissan Kicks is roughly the same size as the Juke but is more sleek and modern, looking stylish without the overboard qualities that made the Juke a pariah of the industry. As a subcompact SUV, the Kicks is aimed to be a budget vehicle for small families, city dwellers, and a younger crowd looking for an affordable yet stylish ride. It offers two-tone color options, more space and practicality than a sedan, and a price tag of under $20,000. As for competition, its rivals include the Chevy Trailblazer, the Hyundai Venue, the Kia Seltos and Soul, and the Mazda CX-30.
