A golf cart is a must-have for some avid course-goers. However, it’s also a blank canvas for adrenaline-seekers to turn timid transports into fire-breathing custom rides. CboysTV did just that with a motor-swapped cart putting down more power than many motorcycles.

A motor-swapped golf cart is the perfect companion for a golfer looking to kick it up a notch and get kicked out in the process

From kids to car enthusiasts, a golf cart is a lovable fixture of golf courses, small communities, and large festivals. However, while some folks take a reserved, almost meditative approach to the game, CboysTV prefers to get, well, rowdy.

For starters, the team motor-swapped a cart using an 80-horsepower electric dirtbike motor. What’s more, the devilish little cart features two separate braking systems. They intended to lock up the front brakes and do burnouts with the two-part braking system. The cart operates in five modes, with mode five hitting up to 75 mph by accessing its full 80 horsepower output. And with what looks like tiny drag radials. Wild.

Now, these guys have jumped, crashed, submerged, flipped, and otherwise destroyed scores of golf carts while “Reckless Golfing.” Fortunately, they remind viewers to “always wear a helmet.” It’s especially important when the cart is more powerful than a Mitsubishi Mirage

Early into the testing phase, the overpowered golf cart spits rocks and dirt against one of the filmer’s trucks. Rightfully so, the crew gives the young filmer a hard time for his choice of parking spot in his lifted pickup truck. Unfortunately, the throttle broke after a brief first drive. However, after fixing the golf cart’s stock throttle architecture, the wild and loose golf cart was back in business.

The best part? The 80-horsepower CboysTV golf cart wheelies. With sufficient silliness, it will squat and send its front tires skyward, if just for a moment. Frankly, some of the crew’s favorite golf carts were purchased after previous rounds of Reckless Golfing. “We were forced to buy them after crashing them off retaining walls.” Hey, at least they’re having fun.

Of course, modified golf carts aren’t a new thing. Some owners will motor-swap their carts. Others will add truck-esque lift kits and knobby tires. Beyond functional upgrades, some cart owners will transform their rides to resemble miniature classic cars or luxury staples.
