During these trying times, many car companies have made it their mission to provide aid to their customers, including offers such as payment relief, car deals, and many more. Subaru has always been known for its commitment to love, care, and compassion. In case you thought Subaru was just a car company, they are here helping change a young man’s life. Subaru has partnered with Make-A-Wish in Southern Florida and has worked to make one 19-year-old boy’s life a little better.

Subaru Dealers Organize Parade for Make-A-Wish Teen

19-year-old Daniel from Coconut Creek is currently undergoing treatment for rare blood cancer. Daniel has always had a deep love for the Subaru company and has a dream to visit the main Subaru factory one day in Japan. Unfortunately for poor Daniel, his wish is postponed due to COVID-19, which has caused traveling to be closed. Due to this, Subaru brought his wish to him.

More than 100 cars participated in a parade down Daniel’s street. Including Daniel’s favorite Subaru car, a 2004 WRX STI. A special thanks is given to Subaru of America, Coconut Creek Subaru, and the North Broward Subaru Club.

2004 WRX STI

The 2004 WRX STI is a 2.5 L 4-cylinder engine with a 300 horsepower. The sedan is about the size of a Honda Civic, but with as much as twice the horsepower. Which helps the car get from 0 to 60 in about 5 seconds, and a quarter of a mile in about 13 seconds going at 103 mph. Right now, it is very affordable coming in at a base price of $31,000 but can go as low as $15,000.

The current model Subaru WRX and WRX STI are compact performance sedans for up to five people. They have turbocharged engines, all-wheel-drive performance-oriented systems, and sleek bodywork. The WRX has a 268-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and a 310-hp, 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder WRX STI. This also includes other high-performance brakes, namely Brembo and a driver-controlled center differential. The WRX faces Honda Civic Si and Volkswagen Golf GTI rivalry, while the WRX STI faces competition from the VW Golf R and Honda Civic Type R.

Unlike most other compact front-wheel-drive sedans, the WRX and WRX STI are characterized by standard all-wheel drives. Both cars also offer a basic six-speed manual transmission for those interested in shifting. Connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also an option.

“Share the Love”

Make-A-Wish has been a proud Subaru “Share the Love” partner since 2011. Since that time, Subaru has donated more than $16.3 million to help grant more than 1,855 wishes in the United States. Subaru is a proud owner of the Love slogan, but they find new and creative ways to incorporate it into their everyday lives and their customers. A special thanks is given to Subaru of America, Coconut Creek Subaru, and the North Broward Subaru Club.
