Spending six figures on a brand new Mercedes-AMG is quite a commitment. But how can you show your enthusiasm for the brand beyond the parking lot? A unique collaboration between Mercedes-AMG and stroller manufacturer Hartan aims to do just that with a new supercar-inspired stroller. Buyers are no longer relegated to the manufacturer apparel catalog to show their undying love for the brand. Now their toddlers can stunt too.

Mercedes-AMG’s announcement of the new strollers reads like the unveiling of a new sports car. The large swiveling wheels’ design directly takes inspiration from those on the GT 63 S 4MATIC, a 200-mph super sedan with over 600 hp. Mercedes-AMG is adamant that the included suspension will allow the stroller to tackle any terrain, even off-road. A standard parking brake makes sure your baby can’t just roll away.

Rather than utilizing a standard stroller brake, Mercedes-AMG and Hartan opted for including a small brake rotor on the rear wheels. The brake tiny rotors are slotted like in the GT 63 S, ensuring maximum cooling going down those supermarket isles. If there’s anything babies love to do, it’s moving around, and Mercedes-AMG came up with an ingenious solution. A five-point harness, similar to what you would find in a racecar, ensures that your toddler will stay firmly in place as you take hard corners at the mall.

How much does it cost, and where can I buy it?

Like all Mercedes-AMG models, the new stroller is a special edition. It’s officially called the Speedster. A quick look at the Hartan site reveals that the stroller comes in just two colors, black, and graphite. Cohesiveness is vital in a family, so parents will have to carefully custom order their supercar to match with their toddlers. Sadly, Hartan opted not to display specific pricing, only posting a link to local dealers. If that didn’t feel enough like making a car purchase, the Speedster offers optional extras such as a Mercedes-AMG branded diaper bag, umbrella, and headrest.

If all of this is beginning to sound expensive, then you’d be correct. Standard non-special edition Hartan strollers often cost well over $1,000. The Speedster’s limited edition status should result in a significant price increase over the standard model.

If your toddler prefers the traditional Mercedes-Benz models over its tuned-up counterparts, Hartan has you covered. The stroller manufacturer has also partnered up with Mercedes-Benz to produce a more discrete line of strollers. The Mercedes-Benz branded Speedsters offer additional colors such as red, gray, and beige.

What about the Mercedes-AMG mom and dad are driving?

The main inspiration for the Speedster stroller is the Mercedes AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC. So much so that Mercedes-AMG is adamant that the stroller’s dimensions were explicitly designed to fit in the trunk of the four-door supercar. The GT 63 S 4MATIC utilizes a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 630 hp. The race to 60 mph happens in just 3.1 seconds and continues to a top speed of 196 mpg.

The GT 63 S carries a starting price of $161,200 but can easily surpass the $200,000 mark with just a few optional extras. Power reaches the road via an all-wheel-drive system and a nine-speed automatic transmission. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the GT 63 S is that it is a four-door version of Mercedes-AMG’s supercar, the GT Coupe.

While it may seem wise to bring your baby into the enthusiast lifestyle, be aware that they will come around asking for your precious keys sooner or later.
