The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is brand new from the ground up. It has a new exterior style for a more confident look. It still has a few retro aspects to respect the previous generations while looking more like the new Toyota Tundra.

Plus, the interior was totally revamped with nicer materials and a modern layout. It has new tech, more space, and attractive new shades of red, black, and tan. There are multiple trim levels to fit different needs, from a basic work truck with two-doors to the Trailhunter overlanding model.

Best of all, the Toyota Tacoma packs a more powerful punch. The current standard engine that’s underpowered was finally dropped. Now you can pick between gas-powered options and an electrifying hybrid variant known as the i-Force Max.

Does the 2024 Tacoma have a better ride quality?

Yes, we can confirm the 2024 Toyota Tacoma does have a smoother ride. It rides on the global Toyota TNGA-F platform. It was developed for larger body-on-frame vehicles like the Toyota Tundra and Toyota Sequoia. It supports front, rear, and all-wheel drive configurations.

The Tacoma has a longer wheelbase, allowing it to be much better on and off the pavement. Older models still have a rear-leaf spring setup with a live axle. Higher trim levels use a coil-over setup, which can enhance articulation. MotorTrend shared that t also provides a more consistent performance with better cushioning.

Different trim levels have unique components and suspension tuning to deliver what drivers need. The Tacoma TRD Pro has live Fox shocks for improved performance at high speeds. They help the TRD Pro be better for racing and rock crawling.

But the Trailhunter trim has 2.5-inch position-sensitive monotube shocks and an Old Man Emu (OME) ARB suspension setup to account for the extra weight of camping gear. It’s designed to carry heavier loads in the wild.

Yes, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma has a much better interior than before. It looks like a smaller version of what you’ll find in the 2023 Toyota Tundra. It has upscale materials such as premium leather, plush upholstery, and metal accents.

The vibrant ambient lighting spices things up, but we’re most excited about the new 8.0-inch infotainment system. You can upgrade to the massive 14.0-inch unit as well. The software includes updated graphics and an improved camera resolution.

You can also opt for new convenient features such as ventilated seats, an onboard air compressor, an improved 360-degree camera display, a 10-peaker JBL premium audio system with a wireless speaker, and IsoDynamic seats.

The new wireless phone charging pad is stronger and faster. Plus, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard.

But best of all, the interior is a little bigger. There’s more space for tall adults in the rear with innovative storage solutions. Space under the back seat grew by three times.

We can’t wait to get behind the wheel to see how different models compare. Stay tuned for the latest updates about when the order banks open.
