It can also seat up to five adults comfortably, even if they’re on the tall side. And you can reasonably seat three people in the backseat for shorter trips. 

The Charger has average cargo capacity for its segment, with 16.5 cubic feet in the trunk. You can fold down the rear seats for extra space when you need it to haul larger items for great convenience.

The 2021 Dodge Charger’s technology and interior design

Sure, the Dodge Charger isn’t as upscale as luxury sedans, but its cabin uses quality materials. It doesn’t have the most modern interior design, but it’s functional.

Plus, the Uconnect infotainment system is intuitive and features a user-friendly touchscreen. The menus are simple, and physical buttons and knobs help for easy adjustments. Expect a 7.0-inch standard touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, four USB ports, satellite radio, and a six-speaker audio system.

An 8.4-inch touchscreen is available, as are a six- or nine-speaker Alpine sound system or a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system. You can get HD Radio, navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, too. Also available are dual-zone automatic climate control and a sunroof.

Several Dodge Charger models to choose from

The 2021 Dodge Charger comes in six trim levels — SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye — U.S. News reports. Each offers progressively more power and features.

SXT

The base-model SXT starts at $30,245 and features a V6 engine producing 292 hp. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive standard, but all-wheel drive is available. It offers more than enough muscle for most car lovers, plus plenty of power and a slew of great features. They include rear parking sensors and power-adjustable front seats.

GT

Starting at $32,245, the GT model is another great choice. It and the SXT are the only trims with available all-wheel drive. The GT’s V6 makes 300 hp and adds the 8.4-inch touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control, HD Radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. It also adds more aggressive styling cues and 20-inch wheels.

R/T

The R/T and higher trim levels are high-performance cars with big V8 engines for enhanced acceleration and power. The R/T starts at $37,245 and packs a Hemi V8 putting out 370 hp. It’s rear-wheel drive with all the GT standard features and few extras.

Scat Pack

Scat Pack models start at $41,920 and offer a Widebody version too. Its V8 makes 485 hp and adds some great performance features. For example, you get launch control with line lock modes, an upgraded cooling system, and a stiffer suspension. You also get high-performance Brembo brakes, a limited-slip rear differential, and a heated steering wheel and front seats.

SRT Hellcat

The popular SRT Hellcat starts at $72,345 is quite a leap in price. For that, you get a supercharged V8 producing 717 hp. Along with sporting widebody fenders, it comes with blind-spot monitoring, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and leather upholstery. The only drawback is that this model doesn’t offer some of the better active safety features, like adaptive cruise control and forward-collision alerts.

SRT Hellcat Redeye

The top-trim SRT Hellcat Redeye starts at an eye-popping $80,945. But aside from packing a supercharged Hemi V8 harnessing a whopping 797 hp, this model is the same as the regular SRT Hellcat. 

Overall, with a roomy, comfortable cabin and varying levels of power to pair with solid handling, the 2021 Dodge Charger is a viable alternative to a crossover SUV.
