It’s set to go head-to-head with one of its top competitors, the best-selling SUV, the 2021 Toyota RAV4. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson has more cargo space than most SUVs its size. There’s 38.7 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats, and 74.8 cubic feet of space if you fold those rear seats. That’s a lot of room if you need to carry a good amount of cargo. If you’ll regularly be using your 2022 Hyundai Tucson to transport things, you may want to opt for the hands-free power liftgate.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 doesn’t have quite the same amount of space as the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. With 37.6 cubic feet though, it might not be a deal-breaker for you. If you fold the rear seats, you’ll have 69.8 cubic feet of storage space, which is a bigger difference. If you need the space, this might make the 2022 Tucson more attractive to you.

The 2022 Toyota RAV4 comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, and you can upgrade to an 8-inch. It also comes with a USB port, and you can pay to add four more. Like the Tucson, it has some important safety systems, though not everything is standard. You’ll have to pay for extras like front and rear parking sensors.

If space is the most important thing to you, you’ll want to go with the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Otherwise, it’s a matter of preference. Compare safety ratings, reliability, and comfort, and you’re sure to be happy with whichever SUV you decide to buy.
