Buying a used Jeep Gladiator might be a good idea. According to Vencentric, the Jeep Gladiator has the Best Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Value in America. It claimed the top spot in its segment, but what exactly does this mean?

Each year Vencentric performs a cost of ownership analysis at the model level to determine the Best CPO Value in America. Eight different ownership costs are factored in, including depreciation, taxes/fees, insurance, maintenance, opportunity costs, fuel, and repairs.

Winners are measured on a statistical model that measures which vehicles have a lower-than-expected cost based on their segment and price. Each state is taken into account, along with annual mileage intervals.

David Wuster, Vincentric Vice President, explained that the Jeep Gladiator delivers the best-in-class value because it delivers total ownership costs that are significantly lower than expected for its segment.

Is the Gladiator expensive to maintain?

Statistics for used Jeep Gladiator models may be a little different. However, the Gladiator could require $11,803 for maintenance and repairs during its first 10 years of service. This is about $1,482 more than the industry average.

Also, there is a 35.84 percent chance that the Gladiator will require a significant repair during that time. That’s about 14.34 percent worse than average. But we did mention that the Gladiator doesn’t have the best reliability rating.

It got a score of 21 out of 100 for reliability for Consumer Reports. But it has a better score than the Chevy Silverado and the Ford F-150 Hybrid.

The Gladiator should be able to make it to 200,000 miles and provide 14 years of service on the road if you drive between 13,000 to 15,000 miles annually. A used Jeep Gladiator isn’t considered to have a high mileage until it passes 100,000 miles.

According to Car Edge, The average Jeep Gladiator insurance cost is $1,893 per year. This comes to about $9,465 after five years of ownership. But your personal record and shopping around could lead to lower rates.

Does the Gladiator have a good resale value?

Used Jeep Gladiator models sell like hotcakes at a pretty good rate. A Gladiator is expected to depreciate by about 22 percent after five years of ownership. It should have a resale value of about $41,446.

The Gladiator is actually on the list of the top ten vehicles with the best resale value. The Gladiator Sport is regarded as the best option for maintaining worth.

The resale value could be high because the Jeep Gladiator is a popular truck. New and used models are hard to keep in stock.

Plus, the Gladiaotr is a rugged and durable off-roading machine. It’s well-equipped for tackling adventures with the whole family. It has a solid axle that enhances its capability and can take a beating.

Despite not having the best reliability ranking, used Jeep Gladiator models still have plenty of value. In fact, it has the best CPO rating!
