When the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX released last year, the Launch Edition sold like hot cakes. In fact, all of the 702 units sold out in less than three hours. Now, Ram 1500 TRX Launch edition models are already going to auction in hopes of turning a big profit.

Selling one a 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition at the Barrett-Jackson auction could mean big money. According to CarBuzz, these are some seriously sought-after pickup trucks. Due to the fact that they were so popular, dealers marked them up as much a $50,000.

How much is a 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition?

According to Ram Trucks, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX starts at $70,425. The Launch Edition TRX, however, cost $93,000 CarBuzz reports. So buyers of the 2021 Ram 150 TRX Launch Edition pickup truck paid about six figures for their new Ram trucks

The number this coveted truck will bring at auction is only speculative at this point. It’s definitely not outside the realm of possibility that this truck will turn a profit over its original price. That said, it’s anyone’s guess just how much money this TRX Launch Edition is going to go for at the Barret-Jackson auction later this month.

“Assuming its original owner wasn’t forced to pay any dealership markups, which in some cases went as high as $50,000 for the Launch Edition, then they’ll very likely earn back the truck’s $93,000 price tag and then some.”

What TRX features does this Launch Edition model have?

According to CarBuzz, the listing doesn’t show the mileage. However, it’s doubtful that it’s up into the thousands. Of 702 units sold last year in under three hours, this 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition pickup truck is a TRX LE with a VIN of 307.

Every Ram TRX 1500 has a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 engine under the hood. This engine produces up to 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. In only 4.5 second, the TRX speedily stalks its way up to 60 mph.

Each Ram TRX gets power sent to all four wheels. This is done through an eight speed transmission, even though the listing (likely mistakenly) calls it a six-speed.

“The Launch Edition stands out not only because of its low build count, but also for the extra features included.”

Each 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition pickup truck comes equipped with the TRX level 2 equipment package group. That means that there are details like carbon fiber interior trim, special color accents, a heads-up display and upgraded Harmon Kardon 19-speaker sound system.

In addition, there’s a panoramic sunroof and exterior graphics. You know, in case passersby don’t notice this massive truck due to its sheer size alone. Everyone at the grocery story will know this truck’s name immediately, because ‘TRX’ is badged all over the place.

The model listed also offers the dealer-installed steps that power adjust and cost an additional $3,000. This truck is made for off-roading right off the factory line. However, the one coming up for sale at auction also has a “heavily upgraded suspension and 18-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch Wrangler Territory All-Terrain Goodyear tires, according to CarBuzz.

What color is it?

There are a number of exterior paint job options for the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX pickup. This particular Launch Edition pickup truck boasts the Anvil Gray color that was exclusive to the Launch Edition units. The interior also has a LE-badged brushed metallic aluminum middle console.

Overall, this is a special chance for some lucky deep-pocketed buyer to get in the driver’s seat of a Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition. While this one probably hasn’t done much yet in the way of off-road romping, we agree with the folks at CarBuzz.

Hopefully, the new owner of this beastly truck will actually put it to good use and take it out for a spin on the dunes.
