[Video] Snake catcher films large python lying on mechanic’s shop floor after eating something big
Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 are used to seeing Coastal Carpet Pythons. They’re based in Australia, after all, where scaled and slithering beasts roam around freely…and often where they aren’t welcome. One mechanic shop gave the snake catches a call after spotting a massive python, right after it swallowed something huge.
Mechanic shop discovers a Coastal Carpet Python with a very full belly
On March 10, the snake catchers filmed the event and shared it on their Facebook page.
“All right, what do we got here?” the catcher begins, walking up to the snake. “You are definitely the wrong type of serpentine belt for this establishment, buddy,” he tells the python.
The catcher pans the camera down the length of the snake to show its size. In doing so, he reveals a massive lump in the middle of the serpent. It turns out the snake had “quite a large food item on board,” the catcher explains.
The expert assumes the snake ate one of the local opossums.
“C’mon, fatty.”
The snake catcher removes the animal from the mechanic shop and heads out to the Braken Ridge, Queensland wilderness, where the Coastal Carpet Python is safe from humans.
The serpent mosies out of the container and into the bush, bloated belly and all, to hopefully find a warm, dry spot to “sleep off that snack.”
These snakes really are common there. After Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 shared the video, they posted another Coastal Carpet Python hanging out under the hood of a follower’s car.
