As a compact pickup, the 2022 Ford Maverick may not look like a traditional truck. Especially with just how large today’s trucks are. But if you want to give your Maverick a more aggressive look, it is possible. Certain companies have begun selling lift kits for Ford’s small truck. Allowing you to do things like equip larger tires and enjoy a more commanding presence on the road. But, is it worth it to add a lift kit to the 2022 Ford Maverick?

Can you lift the Ford Maverick?

While the 2022 Maverick may not offer a factory lift, that has not stopped aftermarket brands from making them. It looks like multiple companies are offering various size lifts for Ford’s small truck, and that will help to give it a more aggressive look.

It appears that most of these lift kits are made for all-wheel drive Mavericks, but it is likely possible to lift the Maverick hybrid. According to autoevolution, with a 2.0-inch lift, the Maverick can take on 30.5-inch tires. And that helps to make this compact pickup look more like a true truck.

Can the 2022 Maverick go off-road?

Ford did not skimp on giving the Maverick some off-road chops. The available FX4 Off-Road package delivers a variety of off-road features. These include things like improved cooling capabilities and different drive modes. Other improvements include a revised suspension which will help you handle the road less traveled.

While the Maverick certainly will not be as capable as a body-on-frame pickup, it does ride on the same platform as the Ford Bronco Sport. Which is also a fairly off-road-friendly SUV. If you choose to give your Ford Maverick a lift kit, that will likely help improve its off-road performance.

A lifted truck will give you more ground clearance. Plus you can add beefier tires. It looks like most Ford Maverick lift kits hover around $200. And that is fairly affordable when it comes to customizing your compact pickup truck.

Does the Maverick have a factory lift?

The 2022 Ford Maverick does not offer a lift from the factory. If you are interested in a lifted Ford Maverick, you will have to look to the aftermarket community. To some, that may seem less than ideal, as they might prefer using OEM components on their vehicle.

There does not seem to be a shortage of lift kits for the Maverick from different brands. So, be sure to read reviews before making your purchase.

Will there be a 2023 Ford Maverick?

The 2023 Ford Maverick is expected to go on sale in August. In fact, some current orders of the Maverick might wind up being 2023 models instead of 2022. The Maverick has been extremely successful for Ford. Perhaps too successful, because right now, buying Ford’s small truck feels impossible.

Currently, orders for the Maverick are paused. And that is because demand has exceeded supply, and the blue oval has not been able to keep up. Hopefully, when the next batch of Maverick orders opens, Ford has a better plan in place.
