When shopping for a new car, it’s pretty typical that you could get anywhere from 8 to 10 percent off the MSRP, as any more than that would likely be a godsend. However, when it comes to high-end luxury cars that aren’t as popular as your typical Audi or BMW, dealers can offer larger discounts, especially if the car has been sitting on the lot for a really long time. Case in point: this 2018 Maserati GranTurismo MC that is for sale at Russell Westbrook Maserati located in Van Nuys, CA.

The Maserati GranTurismo is a sophisticated supercar

If you have been wanting a supercar, but are looking for something that’s not as in-your-face as an Audi R8 or maybe even and Acura NSX, then the Maserati GranTurismo could be a great choice. The GranTurismo came out way back in 2008 and has seen some changes since then, the biggest changes being different body styles and the addition of the MC version, which had more horsepower and a much higher price tag.

When it was launched, the Maserati GranTurismo MC was the fastest production car that the brans had ever produced. It boasted a 0 to 60 time of just 4.9 seconds and had a Ferrari-built, naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V8 engine that produced 454 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, which was 11 more horsepower and 15 lb-ft more than the regular GranTurismo model. The sheer power and acceleration were impressive, but even better was the car’s intoxicating exhaust note.

What so special about the GranTurismo that’s for sale?

Aside from its prancing-horse engine subtly sleek exterior, the Maserati GranTurismo that’s for sale at Russel Westbrook Maserati has a lot going for it. First of all, it’s a convertible, which will come in handy as you cruise around the Los Angeles area and it’s also fitted with the navigation package and upgraded Harmon Kardon sound system with 11 speakers. Luckily, the dash area was updated for the 2018 model year, so you’ll get to lavish in the luxury of carbon fiber trim and an updated touchscreen infotainment system.

Let’s just say that the infotainment system in the GranTurismo that came before it was severely outdated, along with the rest of the interior. Other amenities include a backup camera, parking sensors, Poltrona Frau leather seats, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and Apple Carplay and Android Auto capability. Basically, all of the things you would expect in a car that costs over $188,000.

What so special about the price?

Speaking of the price, with all the added options, the original MSRP came to $188,319 in 2018 money. However, the kicker here is that the car has presumably been sitting on the lot for the better part of two years, or so, and still remains a new car. The dealer currently has it marked down to $131,823, which is $56,496 off the original sticker price, or a 30 percent discount.

Of course, you could likely wait another year and watch it possible to get reduced even more or watch it be sold. But either way, 30 percent off a “new” car pretty insane, so you’ll get a good deal if you buy it or now or wait a little longer. And if you’re lucky, maybe the Russell Westbrook will be on hand to sign the dashboard for you, although, we wouldn’t hold our breath.
