The listing’s been viewed more than 6,000 times. It’s a common enough truck: a 2017 Ram 1500 Sport. Not the top trim, either. So what’s getting the used pickup all the attention? The color, for one, on top of the dizzying list of add-ons the original Georgia couple ordered eight years ago.

‘Sublime Metallic’ isn’t for everyone, but the Shrek-influenced Ram 1500 went up for anyone interested

The original buyer picked the bright green “Sublime Metallic” color out special, reportedly for his wife, the primary driver. In the listing photos, the truck has a vanity tag reading “Fionna.” I’m assuming, based on the unique shade, that this might be a reference to Shrek’s royal-bred spouse in the 2001 Dreamworks animated comedy featuring Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy.

But wait – there’s more! The buyers wanted their Ram 1500 Sport to have all the bells and whistles: It has black-finished 20″ alloy wheels, a lifted suspension, a sunroof, side steps, bedside toolboxes, and remote start.

That’s on top of what already came standard and then some. Here’s its full list of features:

  • 5.7-Liter Hemi V8
  • Eight-Speed Automatic Transmission
  • Dual-Range Transfer Case
  • Anti-Slip Rear Differential
  • Black Cloth & Vinyl Upholstery
  • Black-Finished 20″ Five-Spoke Wheels
  • Suspension-Lift Kit
  • Glass Sunroof
  • Spray-In Bedliner
  • Hitch Receiver
  • Ram Box Cargo Management System (including locking bed-side-mounted toolboxes)
  • Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control
  • Power-Adjustable Driver’s Seat
  • Power-Adjustable Pedals
  • Heated Steering Wheel
  • Uconnect Infotainment w/Navigation
  • Alpine Audio System
  • ParkSense Front/Rear Park-Assist System
  • Body-Color Bumpers
  • Sport Performance Hood
  • Tubular Running Boards
  • Tinted Windows
  • LED Bed Lighting
  • Dual Exhaust Outlets

Shew. Color aside, it’s a pretty nice total package, overall.

Comes with maintenance records, clean CarFax, and original sale documents

The Georgia couple picked out the 2017 Ram 1500 new-from-factory. The base MSRP started at $44,095. After all the customizations and the delivery charge, they’d racked up another $12,000 in extras. The final sale price was $56,605.

It has nearly-new Nitto Recon Grappler A/T tires (2022), a fresh battery, and a clean CarFax. A parking lot fender-bender a year into ownership means the rear bumper had to be replaced, but it’s a factory bumper with the paint re-matched to that Ogre-tastic green.

Whoever bought the truck from Bring a Trailer won it for $31,750. Here in the Midwest, you can find a 2017 Ram 1500 for much less…but they’ll have way more than 27K miles clocked, and they ain’t Sublime Metallic. Beats the 2025 prices, too, which start at $40,275.
