Wanting to spotlight Ram’s “Built to Serve” effort organizing grassroots volunteers it will introduce a series of limited edition pickup trucks to honor Built to Serve. The 2020 special-edition trucks honor each of the five branches of the US military. The five versions of Built to Serve Ram 1500 pickups will roll out over the next year. The five branches being honored are the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.
The Built to Serve military branch package can be applied to any combination of Ram 1500 models and options. The first branch of the military to be honored with the Ram package will be announced at a special “Stars and Strings” concert at the famous Fox Theater in Detroit on November 6, 2019.

Motor Trend Truck Of The Year
There are many reasons to buy a truck over an SUV or a minivan. Whether it’s just commuting from A to B or it’s towing and hauling a heavy load, Americans want a truck that can do what they want it to do.
The 2019 Ram 1500 can handle a payload of up over 2,300 lb. It also has a towing capacity of about 12,750 lb. Motor Trend says that this is one of the highest towing capacity in its class, and it’s only second to the Ford F-150.
Also, the Ram 1500 comes with a lot of standard as well as optional safety features. Many of those safety features are smart safety features, too, too. These features, along with the powerful redesign, allows the Ram 1500 to be a very safe truck for drivers and for their families.
Starting at about $33,000 and with trims costing up to $68,000, the Ram 1500 is either cheaper than its competitors or about the same in cost. But, that price tag pays for all the great things about the Ram 1500, as well as all the other things that weren’t mentioned. The premium options that are available are also fairly priced.
For these reasons and more, Motor Trend gave the 2019 Ram 1500 its coveted Truck of the Year award.
