The package is available for Ram 1500 pickups.

There will only be 1,000 2021 “Built to Serve” Ram 1500 trucks in each color

There will only be 1,000 2021 “Built to Serve” Ram 1500 trucks in each color. “Ram continues to honor all of those who serve or have served in the United States armed forces with distinction through our latest ‘Built to Serve’ offering,” said Mike Koval Jr., Head of Ram Brand, FCA – North America. “The ‘Built to Serve’ adage is something Ram Truck owners, whether civilian or military, are very familiar with as it’s something we strive to build into every truck and van that we produce.”

Ram will honor all five branches of the military with a different branch edition every three months. As the Air Force has an anniversary tomorrow it was first up. Other colors to choose will be Gator or Diamond Black, Ceramic Gray or Patriot Blue, and Tank or Flame Red. Each of those will be 1,000 limited editions each. There will also be 500 each of either Spitfire or Bright White.

Each truck will have a US flag and “Built to Serve” decals on the rear fenders

Each truck will have a US flag and “Built to Serve” decals on the rear fenders. Body-color fender flares and black grille trim, grille surround, bumpers, headlight bezels, badges, steps, and exhaust tips highlight the package. Special 20-inch wheels with Technical Gray finish are also unique to the limited edition.

Included with every truck is the 4×4 Off-Road Group package with all-terrain tires, heavy-duty shocks, tow hooks, electronic-locking rear axle, hill-descent control, and skid plates for the front suspension, steering, fuel tank, and transfer case. Inside an embroidered Velcro panel is featured on the front seat for owners to display regiment patches, flags, name tapes, and slogans. On the seatbacks, there is a Pouch Attachment Ladder System/Modular Lightweight Load-Bearing Equipment or PALS/MOLLE webbing to attach firearms.

Each “Built to Serve” package adds $2,795 to the bottom line regardless of which branch you choose. The base price for the Ram 1500 is $33,940. The standard engine is the V6 with an optional diesel six-cylinder or Hemi V8 with hybrid systems. A head-up display is new for 2021, digital rear-view mirror, and Off-Road pages as part of the infotainment system. With that, you can see ride height, pitch-and-roll monitoring, and transfer-case mode.

Ram’s “Built to Serve” campaign is a noble, worthy, and proud approach to limited-edition vehicles. It honors our military and hopefully helps to bring together a country that seems so divided in 2020.
