Post Malone Instantly Fell in Love With His Ford VelociRaptor

If one thing is clear about musician Post Malone, it’s that he loves the outrageous. While he tends not to over-share too much about his personal life on social media, it’s still pretty well documented the amount of impressively customized cars he has in his collection. In early 2019, Post took home his custom Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6, a completely customized version of the Ford F-150 Raptor. Let’s take a look at what it’s got going on.

Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6

Located in Sealy, TX, Hennessey Performance has been modifying cars and trucks for almost 30 years. Its VelociRaptor 6X6, which starts out as a 2017-2020 Ford F-150 Raptor, is one of the company’s most exciting vehicles. And with a price tag starting out at $349,000, only the biggest Raptor fans will pull out the big guns to get one.

To get to the VelociRaptor, Hennessey stretches the chassis of a standard Ford F-150 Raptor to create room for the 6X6 locking rear axles. The engineers proceed upgrade the already great Fox suspension, improve the 20-inch wheels and fit them with top-of-the-line off-road tires, replace the front and rear bumpers with custom ones, and add LED lights and a rollbar.

Under the hood, the standard Ford 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost twin-turbo engine gets upgraded to get 600 hp and 622 lb-ft of torque, able to get from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds. Other changes include front and back brake upgrades, a more luxurious interior, electronic upgrades, and more convenience features added.

Post Malone’s VelociRaptor

Delivered by John Hennessey himself, Post Malone took delivery of his VelociRaptor with the appropriate amount of excitement. Commenting on how sick it looked, Post couldn’t wait to see what was going on with his brand new super truck. Checking out the upgraded Fox suspension, Post says that the attention to detail was impressive and he was “very happy” with the way it turned out. “I’m the happiest boy in the world!” he exclaims in the video.

Particularly unique about Post’s VelociRaptor is the custom-designed .50 Caliber gun mount for the truck bed, designed to look like barbed wire. While it’s Post’s signature style — matching his well-known barbed wire face tattoo — it’s equal parts awesome and terrifying, but definitely unique and something you don’t see often.

In the video, Hennessey goes on to show Post Malone the controls for his LED light system, as well as other controls for various features in the truck. Post tells the camera that he can’t wait to take the truck on the road to try it out.

Post Malone has a love of custom cars

The VelociRaptor is simply one of Post’s beloved customized vehicles. In August, he made headlines when he purchased a gorgeous 2019 Bugatti Chiron for the shocking price of — wait for it — $2,999,995. Laughingly close to $3 million, his Bugatti Chiron was previously never driven on the road, and Post got to have the inaugural ride himself.

But it’s not just brand new vehicles that Post takes a liking to. He owns a custom 1992 Ford Explorer, completely upgraded to include scissor doors, 26-inch chrome wheels, and a custom paint job. This thing is so crazy that we’re surprised it wasn’t featured on an old episode of MTV’s Pimp My Ride; although, we’re sure Post’s customizations were done with more tact. One thing’s for sure, at least, and that’s that both Post Malone fans and car nuts alike loved seeing his reaction to receiving his VelociRaptor, and we hope to see more fun deliveries for him in the future.
