Have you seen 53-year-old Jeffery Williams? To be fair, police officers in Carlson City did see him before he managed to escape. Now the Carson City and Lyon Sheriff’s Offices are asking the public to help find him.
According to 2 News, Williams is wanted on felony warrants out of Carson City, and one misdemeanor warrant. On Saturday, Carson City detectives received a tip about his current locations and sprang into action.
They spotted him in his GMC pickup truck and initiated a traffic stop. Then Williams threw his truck in reverse and led a police chase through the hills of Lyon County.
He drove erratically and sped in opposite lanes of traffic. Plus, he allegedly attempted to strike a Lyon County deputy.
Officers found his GMC truck abandoned by the river near Eureka Canyon. However, Williams seemed to vanish in thin air. Police officers deployed drones and investigated the area but found no signs of movement.
Secret Witness is offering a $500 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of Willaims. You can also contact the Carson City Sheriff’s Office by calling the Carson City Dispatch at 775-887-2018.
His truck is probably being held as evidence. It’s unclear if he has other vehicles or if he is relying on other modes of transportation.
