Police bust California truck driver with 416 lbs of cocaine
Now drugs are bad, mmkay? But this story makes me wonder how a truck driver managed to get across the border with 416 lbs of cocaine. How did the police dogs fail to detect it?
Maybe the semi-truck passed the X-ray scans and wasn’t subjected to a deeper search involving the K-9 officers. I can’t tell you what happened at the border, but I do know that the trucker didn’t make it very far.
The semi-truck was eventually stopped in Tracy, on Koster Road, Multiple agencies had been tracking the driver since crossing the border.
Police officers arrested one suspect without any drama. According to Patch, there was a second suspect that caused a little trouble. He barricaded himself in an attic.
Details are sparse, but semi-trucks don’t have attics. Apparently, he entered a home on Koster Road. He didn’t stay in there too long because the SWAT team came with a K-9 unit to get him out. Finally, the goodest boys on the force arrived.
I’m no drug shark or expert. I tried to Google how much money this amount of cocaine is worth. But I didn’t have any luck. I’ll just have to assume that it’s worth a lot.
Also, teamwork makes the dream work. Multiple agencies came together to remove a massive amount of drugs from the streets.
