When Consumer Reports rated the 2022 Ford Expedition, the overall 16 mpg was to be expected. This SUV has a 28.3-gallon tank capacity and gets 453 miles per tank. That works out to about $119 to fill up, using $4.22 per gallon as the price. That price is subject to change. Consumer Reports thought the Ford SUV performed well on the road test, and the owner satisfaction score was above-average.

The 2022 Chevrolet Suburban definitely qualifies as a large SUV. With room for eight passengers and 16 mpg overall, it is to be expected that this full-size SUV costs a lot to fill up. It performed alright on the Consumer Reports road test, and the predicted owner satisfaction score was above-average. With a 28-gallon tank and 448 miles per tank, the Suburban costs around $118 to fill up.

Fuel economy isn’t a big selling point for the full-size truck that is the 2022 Nissan Titan. Buyers of the Titan don’t have high expectations for the fuel economy, but it can tow enough to make up for it. It offers a smooth, powerful engine and plenty of standard safety features that similar trucks might not have. The Nissan pickup truck also has room for six passengers, thanks to its bench seating. With a 26-gallon tank and a 416-mile range, the cost per full tank is about $110.

According to Consumer Reports rankings, the 2022 Ram 1500 was the best full-size pickup truck this year. This full-size pickup truck managed to get 17 mpg overall, which was actually one of the higher options on this list. The 2022 Ram truck performed well on the road test and had high scores for the predicted owner satisfaction. With a 26-gallon tank and 416 miles per tank, it will cost around $100 to fill up.
