Pandemic Mobile Bowling In 2020 Is A Thing Now

Hey, it’s 2020 so anything is possible, right? The pandemic has screwed up any chance of heading to the sports bar, seeing a movie at the theater, or bowling. Yeah, the COVID-19 lockdowns have even created a pent up urge for bowling. It’s driving people crazy. So if you can’t go to the bowling alley why not have it come to you? Pandemic mobile bowling in 2020 is a thing now.

Lucky Strike Bowling has invented the world’s first mobile bowling alley

To prove we’re not kidding we have pictures courtesy of the Detroit News. A company called Lucky Strike Bowling has invented the world’s first mobile bowling alley. It was created inside of a 53-foot trailer.

Yeah, standard bowling lanes are 60-feet, but you can’t complain once you take this all in. Besides the side-by-side bowling lanes, there is a Bluetooth sound system to play your favorite tunes. And there is also a big screen TV plus lounge area for your bowling bros to hang with you. What more could you possibly want?

Because of the restricted size, some adjusting was in order. The two lanes are 30-feet long and incorporate automatic ball returns. The bowling balls themselves are smaller than your standard-size balls; they’re four-inches in diameter. The palm-size bowling balls still lay over the pins like the standard stuff.

Your bowling bros can party while taking turns at the lanes

In the raised part of the trailer, your bowling bros can party while taking turns at the lanes. Participants are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages to liven things up. Climate control makes this a comfortable activity whether raining or 105-degrees outside. It seems that winter weather keeps the mobile bowling alley on ice until the spring. No Holiday bowling for you.

Cost is relatively inexpensive at $500 for two hours. If you figure what you would normally spend in hiked-up nachos and booze, spread out over seven or ten peeps it’s a cheap night out. Plus, it comes right to your door. Just think about what the neighbors will think of you when they find out mobile bowling was happening right at your front door? Anyone can have a swim party or a rave. But who can say they entertained friends with a mobile bowl-a-thon?

Right now Lucky Strike Bowling is only happening in the Detroit area

The only downside is that this is not available everywhere. Right now Lucky Strike Bowling is only happening in the Detroit area. So unless you’re living in the comfy confines of the Detroit area you’re out of luck. But who knows? This might inspire others to take the mantle and whip up their own mobile bowling business.

Much like those blow-up bounce houses, this could be the thing for future family fun. And just think; it all started from a love of bowling and a pandemic lockdown.
