Owners say these Hyundai models are the most reliable in the 2022 lineup

According to Kelley Blue Book owner surveys, the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid is among the most-loved SUVs. With an overall consumer rating of 4.9 out of 5, the Santa Fe Hybrid is as close to perfect as it gets. Among responders, the Santa Fe Hybrid earned a 4.8 rating for reliability as well, marking it as one of the most reliable Hyundai SUVs on the market.
Consumers also loved the overall performance and comfort of this Hybrid Hyundai SUV, while rating it slightly lower in value. It’s elevated price tag over standard models doesn’t get much more comfort, but it does earn better fuel economy in the long run.
Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury brand, scored much better than Hyundai. However, two Hyundai models boast good reliability scores. They are the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid and the 2022 Hyundai Sonata.
An overview of the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid
According to U.S. News, the Santa Fe Hybrid is one of the best options in the hybrid SUV segment. The Santa Fe Hybrid has one powertrain option: a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor producing 226 hp. They pair with a six-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard.
This midsize Hyundai SUV gets 36 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. That’s a slightly worse fuel economy than other hybrid SUVs, but the Santa Fe Hybrid is solid in almost every other area. That’s primarily thanks to its interior. The five-seater has a comfortable, quiet cabin with standard heated front seats.
On top of that, KBB reports the Santa Fe Hybrid boasts “excellent” cargo capacity. It provides 36.4 cubic feet behind the rear seats and a maximum of 72.1 cubic feet with the back seats folded.
As for tech, the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid has an 8.0-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, and advanced safety features such as forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.
The 2022 Hyundai Sonata at a glance
The Sonata is another great and reliable Hyundai model that’s strong in almost every area. It starts with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder making 191 hp. That engine provides this midsize sedan with enough oomph for daily driving, but others in the segment will likely have more power. However, the Sonana is fuel-efficient, getting 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.
Like the Santa Fe Hybrid, the Sonata provides an attractive interior. Its cabin is well-designed, and the seats are spacious and comfortable. The trunk has 16 cubic feet of space, generous for a sedan. Hyundai gave the Sonata an 8.0-inch touchscreen as standard, and it comes with smart safety features such as forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.
